BEST OF 2015 FISHING OUTING

Ever wonder what is the best Fishyology outing in 2015? I ask this question to myself too and starting to analyze some data that might help me find out what is the best of 2015 fishing outing. This year each post has its own fan, a fierce competition between Saltwater and Freshwater outing. After carefully selecting some data and set all the criteria, It is solely based on the the number of page views of each 2015 outing post plus some additional points for Facebook likes and Google + Shares. Before it gets to dry with all the Analytic stuff, lets get the ball rolling for our readers favorite top 10 outing!

Natural Exotic Fish Fishing Pond, Rawang – JAN 2015

Fresh from our Mekong success in Dec 2014, we continue our second trip to the Natural Exotic Fish Fishing Pond, Rawang with Andrew Griffin on Jan 2015. Thanks to Mahfuz secret Matsumoto bait mix, we were hoping to out best 2014 Mekong post. Eventually no Mekong Catfish landed that day but the total tally for Rohu went off the roof with a combine catch close to 20 Specimen and Andrew Griffin scored the biggest rohu of the day. With a total tally 707 points, it sits firmly on number 10.

SG Tiang Royal Belum, Perak – OCT 2015

Moves up one ladder in No 9 at 736 points is an outing with the Timelli brothers from France. A 2 day 1 night outing in Sungai Tiang, Royal Belum in OCT 2015. Day one on the hunt for Giant Snake Head proves to be very hard as we were over power by its ruthless power. Day 2 was much more fun with all of finally landed countless Sebarau who was on Rapid Attack! Hammering our altima spoon. It was a great experience and surely one of the most memorable one in 2015.

Tasik Beris, Kedah – JAN 2015

Another new location explored. This time is in Tasik Beris, Kedah in Jan 2015. A trip up north with Shamrilz and Tie Baik explored this beautiful lush green and grassy lake. Home to the Giant Snakehead and the infamous Sebarau. It is one of the best Freshwater fishing spot up north of Malaysia. With a total tally of 1008 points, Freshwater fishing are set to dominate Fishyology in 2015.

Batak Rabit, Perak- FEB 2015

The most unique style of fishing, is when we were out in Batak Rabit, Perak in FEB 2015. It was my first Freshwater Prawn Fishing or aka Udang Galah. It was an amazing experience with Along and friends. Prawn fishing is a finesse game, and addictive too! It takes fishing to a whole new level for me as we need to maximize our senses when it comes to lifting the Prawn out of the water! Superb in No 8 at 1195 Points!

SW Jurassic Fishing Pond, Sepang – MAR 2015

SW Jurassic Fishing Pond, Sepang was one of  newest saltwater fishing pond in Malaysia. We pay a visit to this new establishment with several of our Singaporean friends and readers. The outing was excellent, the pond was beautiful, clean and most importantly we had great fun. Some of the species landed that day was GT, Barramundi, Grouper, Red Drum and Snappers. This outing sits firmly in No 6 with at total points of 1208.

Pulau Jarak, Perak – JUN 2015

Now things get serious with several heavy-weight contenders. At No 5 with a total points of 1931, Pulau Jarak keeps it interesting pulls one back for the Saltwater faction against the rising Freshwater outing! A three day outing on-board the Mighty Chaser was one of the best outing in 2015. Cobia, GT and Snapper are some of the species landed within that three days but eventually we were hit by a heavy storm and forced to retreat to Pulau Sembilan.

Pulau Sembilan, Perak – MAR 2015

After running the analysis, it surprises us that Pulau Sembilan was out performing Pulau Jarak. Pulau Sembilan was a Medium Light Jigging and Casting location and I guess with good fishing and beautiful location, it was enough to out score Pulau Jarak but only by 60 points. It is a relaxing outing, fishing was awesome! During mid day, we head down and have lunch by the beach. Doug didn’t wait long to get into the crystal clear water. Beach was clean and the sand is white.. Perfect day by the sea 🙂

Tasik Temenggor, Perak – NOV 2015

We have reach our top 3 best post of 2015.. Standing in No 3 with a total point of 2372. Our Monsoon trip up in Temenggor was a worthy post to be standing on the podium for 2015. 2 Days outing, with 2 Massive Sebarau, 2 Emperor Snakehead and one Toman was enough to captivate our readers about how good fishing is in Temenggor and it will continue on to the future hopefully.

Sg Kenarong Royal Belum, Perak – AUG 2015

A step closer to the top of pantheon, an outing in AUG 2015 with Tie Baik and Zaifulrizal was the best FW outing in 2015 and easily beat all our FW 2016 outing. Scoring a staggering 3025 points, on that 2 day outing 40 mid-large size Sebarau and 1 Toman was all it takes to make this a memorable one. I would like to call this a dream team and wow that day was awesome. It was our first boating experience in Royal Belum and thankfully I had this two great guys who showed me the way to a whole new path of fishing.

Karang Luas, Kuala Rompin – AUG 2015

Finally we have reach the top. Last year, Fish Valley surpass all other fishing location and this year, it was the blistering Sailfish has got their bill on the top spot. Scoring 3199 points, it was enough to take the top spot from the surging Freshwater outing. Yama-San was on a class of his own when he showcase his popping skills to outsmart the Pacific Sailfish in Kuala Rompin. A worthy post to stand on top of our 2015 Top 10 outing 🙂
