JUGRA SW FISHING POND, BANTING –
It has been a while since we’ve heard news about Jugra SW Fishing Pond. Last trip was visited by Badrul late last year and in the social media, lots of improvement in-terms of improved variety of species were introduced in the pond. My last trip, they only stocked small size Barramundi, which was still great fun with ultra light tackle. I believe last time, the owner was not sure about introducing a SW catch and release pond. Soon when it become very popular among anglers and flyfisherman, expanding the pond and adding a variety of Saltwater species may proved to be the best move for the pond business expansion.
I give full credit to Asrazi and his Tackle Source team for letting me share their outing made over the past month and hope you guys can pay a visit to this great SW action. The entry fees would be RM50 for 3 hours, you may fish with lures provided you use only single hooks. You may keep your catch by paying the sales price of the fish and it’s varies from one species to another.
What kinda setup? Well for me, I would go for light to ultra light setting with rod rating less than 10lb with small reel and PE0.6-PE0.8 lines. Personally to go for heavier setup would just kill all the fun. All lures should work well here, especially deep diver, rattling, spinners, soft plastic and even top water lures can be a good bet fishing in this pond.

A nice Grouper landed using Temujin “The Spider” paired with Shimano Sustain 1000

Table sized Barramundi can easily be caught using SP Grub, but this one decided to strike the …

Only single hooks are allowed and this Grouper almost suck the whole lure in its mouth!

Another Barramundi @ Siakap Putih

Golden Snapper @ Jenahak can put a decent fight but it was no problem with Evergreen Temujin “The Spider”

They just cant resist this sinking Evergreen Corsair lure mimicking small baitfish

Another species fallen for Evergreen Corsair Lure!!

Jugra SW Fishing Pond now stock GT’s!!

Close-up shot of Evergreen Corsair doing the damage 🙂

Again and again, Evergreen Corsair 65 scores a hatrik! This time a nice golden snapper @ Jenahak
Jenahak @ Golden Snapper, is another new species available in Jugra SW Fishing Pond, and based on my experience they do put a great fight as compared to Barramundi or Grouper. I am drawn to this new Evergreen Corsair Sinking lip-less Minnow which works well by twitching it near the bottom of the pond. Simply irresistible to some species as it mimic small bait-fish. Available in 2 model, S65 and S85 with each respective weight and length are 7g @ 6.5cm and 12.5 @ 8.5cm. With lots of colors to choose, from natural color to vivid range.

Get yours now! hehe
Great fun indeed!! That is all for now from our summarized Jugra SW Fishing Pond outing over the month of April & May. This is a great place to feed our needs for fishing while waiting for our sea trip. It is near to KL, making this as an A listed pond for every anglers. Choosing the right lure can be the decisive factor in catching a fish or not and Evergreen Corsair S65 is simply the best choice and should be part of your tackle box. Thank you for reading and stay tuned for more update from the rest of our team!
