Small Toman for me.. haha |
We were schedule for Jarak Island today, but due to bad weather we have to canceled the trip. I decided to venture today’s trip at Puchong Prima. I have seen countless post’s in Facebook, anglers showing off their giants snake heads. Called Eddie to set a boat for me and head off to Puchong around 9.00 am.

Eddie is my boatman for today! |
The small lake looks promising with signs of Toman emerging from the dark murky water. We started to cast using all sorts of lures but couldn’t entice the fish to hit our lures. Toman has been known for its notorious looks and attitude. However I find it that they are quite shy and easily spooked if we get close to them. We came across large group if baby Toman and we manage to land 4 on lures.

One Toman manage to hit my Evergreen Combat Crank and it does feels like a hard fighter. However the fish manage to set free from my hooks. Stress!! I will return with different lure and technique. We ended the day early as it was raining heavily. Currently Malaysian weather is quite unpredictable, be sure to check the weather before heading out for your fishing trip. Safety is priority!
