JURASSIC GAME FISHING POND – 27 AUG 2012
Thanks to Izzudin who “Racun” me to come here. I have experienced my first ever snakehead on lures. The feeling is phenomenal and adrenaline pumping since this is the first time I caught a fish on soft plastic lures from Hinomiya. The lures can be bought at the counter (RM10.00 pack of three lures).
During the day, my first 1 1/2 hours I have been casting Xrap 7 TYBR, with only few strikes but not able to hook the fish since the usage of treble hook is forbidden in this pond. Only single hook are allowed and since I have no experience in lure casting, it was tiring and frustrating. Luckily the person who’s in-charge of the pond came by and give me some pointers on how to “feel” the bite of a fish and how to hook them. Soon I started to get the hang of it.

Finally landed 3 common snakehead Channa Striata over the last 1 1/2 hours. I’ve seen people with higher bite rate as compared to myself, 3 for 180 minutes was probably ok for a beginner like me. Would I return to Jurassic Game Fishing Pond? Definitely! Still haven’t caught those Giant Snakehead lurking on top water. One day you will be mine haha.
